Pain is something we all try to avoid. No one chooses heartbreak, betrayal, disappointment, or delay. Yet, what if the very thing that hurt you was actually preparing you? What if the pain wasn’t meant to break you, but to position you?
Think about Joseph.
His brothers betrayed him.
He was thrown into a pit.
Sold into slavery.
Falsely accused.
Forgotten in prison.
Yet every painful step was actually a divine setup—leading him into the place God destined for him.
Joseph later declared:
“You meant evil against me, but God meant it for good.”
—Genesis 50:20
What looked like tragedy became the pathway to his throne.
What felt like abandonment became the bridge to his assignment.
Maybe your story is similar.
Sometimes the heartbreak breaks you open for purpose.
Sometimes the rejection redirects you.
Sometimes the delay develops you.
Sometimes the loss teaches you to lean on God more deeply.
Pain often becomes the womb of destiny.
Your tears water the soil of your next season.
Your wounds become wisdom.
Your struggle becomes strength.
Here’s the truth:
Nothing in your story is wasted.
If God allowed it, He will use it.
If He permitted it, He will redeem it.
If He didn’t stop it, He will transform it into something that elevates you.
So instead of asking,
“Why did this happen to me?”
your heart may begin to ask,
“Lord, what are You raising me into through this?”
Because sometimes…
the pain was not sent to destroy you—
it was allowed to raise you into destiny.
